Congratulations to Axis Rig 28 for earning Rig of the Month for March, the first production crew awarded this recognition! This crew is being recognized because they have used the Axis CORE® digital data platform to enhance operations for the month of March. They improved their connection times and tripping speeds by 14% throughout the month; decreased average rig up times by 39%; and, by taking care of critical CORE sensors on their rig, have not had any blackout (missing) data from any of their jobs. Axis Rig 28 also successfully implemented our new AES DROPS Compendium, a program that improves wellsite safety and ensures equipment does not present any unexpected hazards on location by using the latest drone technology and real-time data.

“These guys go above and beyond what we have asked them to do,” says Axis CEO Dirk Lee. “We’re proud of everything they’ve accomplished so far.”

This crew only recently learned the CORE system earlier this year and is already Axis’ top CORE production rig. They routinely record the details of topics discussed during safety meetings and we want to recognize that this crew prioritizes safety before all else.
