Axis Standalone Snubbing Now Using CORE for Torque Measurements

Axis is currently underway with standalone snubbing operations in both the Permian Basin and the Northeast. We perform tube ups using our compact 170K Hybrid Snubbing Units, designed for heavy production tubing installs and removals following frac plug drill outs, as well as simplified fishing operations. A new capability has been added for tubing installs—we can now record the maximum torque applied to each connection utilizing our CORE® digital platform.  A report is then available to the customer, and in real time, that shows each joint and the maximum torque applied.

Our hybrid standalone snubbing units are designed around our rig assist-style systems, allowing them to rig up in a fraction of the time it takes a traditional standalone unit. This setup allows for a much smaller footprint on tight, multi-well pads while other operations are being conducted. With less equipment and people on location, these units are easily able to swing over to the next well quickly and efficiently, reducing costs for our customers.

Axis provides pressure control services in the Ark-La-Tex, Bakken, Eagle Ford, Marcellus/Utica, Permian, and SCOOP/STACK regions, with crews and equipment ready to respond to all your pressure control needs.
