Axis Energy Services has expanded its operations by opening a new facility in Belmont, Ohio, outside of St. Clairsville, to provide current and future customers in the Marcellus and Utica basins with complete well service capability, from daylight workovers to 24-hour frac plug drill outs. Axis is an established well service company and industry leader in innovative frac plug drill outs, having done hundreds of successful drill outs.

“We have been providing snubbing services to customers in Ohio and Pennsylvania for the past five years,” says Jody Kindred, President of Axis Pressure Control Services. “We are now bringing our new high-spec rigs, custom-designed drill out pumps, high-reach catwalks, and all related support equipment to the Northeast region to provide turnkey drill outs and workover services.”

Axis has brought in complete package equipment, all newer than three years old:

  • 117’ 300K High-Spec Rig (Axis Rig 60)
  • 10K Power Swivel Package
  • 40’ Pipe Trippers
  • 170K 10M Snubbing Unit
  • 1500hp and 850hp Drill Out Pumps
  • All ancillary equipment to provide customers with full drill out package

In addition, Rig 60 is equipped with the newest generation of the Axis CORE® data acquisition system which provides our crews and customers with real-time views of all drilling and workover operations. KPI reports from Axis CORE® can be run at any time and we can format custom KPI reports to meet customer needs.

Axis is in the process of finishing a five-acre facility with a new 10,000 sq/ft shop and office space; however, the equipment has already arrived, nearly 50 employees are set up and working in the area, and we are open for business.
